A lot of pressure has been on The Behemoth to follow up the resounding success of their 2008 2D brawler Castle Crashers. Hopeful fans and detractors can rest easy; BattleBlock Theater is a robust platforming experience overflowing with content that was well worth the wait. Shipwrecked on an island, imprisoned by evil cats, and forced to fight for your freedom in deadly stage performances, BBT’s premise is as wonderfully mad and charming as you’d expect from The Behemoth. The game’s narrator makes witty meta-references throughout each level and during over-the-top cut scenes, breaking up the rampant toilet humor rather nicely.
In the latest Assassin’s Creed 4 Black Flag dev diary – artist Todd McFarlane says he was inspired by the old Michael Jordan poster in which Jordan’s arms were stretched out across the paper to create his AC4 Edward Kenway pre-order incentive poster. The Todd McFarlane poster is a great pre-order incentive as there’s no way for it to be downloaded for free in the future – causing fanboys of all ages to be upset with marketing. We ran a Disney Infinity preview way back in January when the game was announced but now had a chance to get an up-close and personal look at the game which we’re happy to say is coming along nicely! The Skylanders franchise is about building up your characters (toys) and customizing them with power-up abilities and hats while Disney Infinity is about creating a ‘toy box‘ (sandbox) experience in which gameplay unlocks items used to create worlds. We had a chance to preview Disney Infinity at this year’s Game Developer Conference (GDC) where the developers were showing off playsets for

Remember Me is a new video game coming from Dontnod Entertainment and Capcom featuring a female protagonist called Nilin who can read/process memories in addition to taking down baddies with her fists. Remember Me feels like a video game version of Total Recall and/or Minority Report mixed with video game action like a Devil May Cry or Tomb Raider. There’s plenty of stuff to explore and tons of hand-to-hand combat between Nilin and numerous enemies. During Wondercon in Anaheim, California – gamers got a chance to play Remember Me hands-on and see for themselves what to expect when the game
Nostalgic gaming trips are strange things. They are, at the same time, wonderful and terrible. It’s always great to step back into a classic game. Unfortunately the memory of the game is usually better than the actual game itself. Most of us have been conditioned to expect the latest and greatest, and decades old games simply can’t hold our attention. Such is the nature of an industry that is constantly evolving and moving forward as fast as it can. Three relatively obscure titles have been assembled for the Capcom Arcade 1986 Gamepack, obscure relative to the other Capcom Arcade Cabinet
Don’t dismiss Terraria as nothing more than a glorified 2D Minecraft clone- there’s actually lots of fun to be had. Developed by Re-Logic and Engine Software, this port of the 2011 best-selling Steam game combines the exploration, crafting, and terraforming aspects of the aforementioned blockbuster building title with classic RPG and platforming elements to create a charming and addictive sandbox experience. Terraria boasts a wide array of enemies and boss battles that encourages players to keep crafting better weapons and armor, and plenty of hidden magical items strewn high above and far below the surface world to warrant hours of
Dead or Alive 5 Plus brings all the hard-hitting action of the original, along with a few extras, to your PlayStation Vita. The transition from the console to the handheld device is seemless. Tecmo Koei did a superb job in providing the full DOA experience on the Vita. What Dead or Alive 5 Plus brings to the table is the ultimate portability of a great fighting game while taking advantage of Sony’s Cross Play features. Connecting your PS3 and Vita versions of the game allows you to transfer all the costumes and titles you have earned back and forth. Believe
Guilty Gear hasn’t seen a new release in a fairly long time, with rabid fans being forced to feed on other titles like Blazblue while they waited. Now with a port of the last game in the series to a more recent console there’s hope. As a fighter, GG is a fairly hard to pick up series, though it’s that same difficulty that makes it fun. All of the characters are unique and brimming with personality, so you’re bound to find one who fits your play style. It’s a sight to behold when 8 foot tall doctor’s with a bag
