With over 10 million subscribers to Blizzard’s World of Warcraft, Activision’s taking a safe bet that there are a few Guitar Hero III players amongst them by soon offering a free track called “I am Murloc.”
The track (known to WoW players as a tribute to a race of fish-people in the game) is performed by Blizzard’s house band, Level 70 Elite Tauren Chieftain. Since playing the thrash metal song to the masses at BlizzCon 2005, the band has turned legend with many fans of the massively multiplayer game.
In advance of the 2008 Blizzard Entertainment International event in Paris, France on June 28 and 29, Xbox 360 and PS3 owners will be able to download the track on Thursday, June 26.

I was all for “Still Alive” as a free song on Rock Band, in fact it’s the only song I care to sing on that whole game…..but “I Am Murloc”??!
yah Still Alive was a nice addition – at least this track is more rock/metal – I’ve tried to get excited about the new Coldplay songs on GH3 and it just doesn’t feel like the right fit!
