Follow the activities of COIN-OP TV often? If so then you’ve surely heard us talk about the SC3 arcade/retro party put on by Steve Hertz (who was a guest on COIN-OP TV LIVE ep 303) and his friends who call themselves SC3. This April 2010 we were treated to the biggest variety of games including a return of ‘The Act’ as well as other classics like Tron, Q*Bert, Donkey Kong, Pole Position and more. A ‘handhelds’ section was added to the mix which included a table full of handheld table-top games like Galaxian, Pac-Man and more. Our friends at GameGavel.com held an auction for awesome retro goodies and lotsa food was consumed!
Twas a great night, sucks that I hurt myself prior and was in a lot of pain after standing all day (my day started at 9am with UGTL). I didn’t get to hang with everyone enough. Was a great time for all though, and I’m eagerly awaiting the next.
It was great meeting Rob, B Nerd, Jes and others from SC3. I arrived late wit my brand new Capcom Fight club shirt. I got some games of Tron, Circus Charlie, Mega Mega X (8 robots masters in an hour wit <3 and tanks), Earthworm Jim, and NHL 94 (The Great one vs. Super Mario). It was a blast!!
SC3 was awesome like always. I had a great time. Especially when I got the TOP SCORE ON THE Q*BERT MACHINE! I’m the Billy Mitchell of Q*Bert, son! Take that, Hailey Bright!
