Ratchet & Clank (PS4) will be making a return to glory once again on April 12, 2016 from the original game developers Insomniac Games. The new Ratchet & Clank game is sort of a remake and revamped version of the original game released in 2002. For the new game, most of the original gameplay and story remains the same but additional scenes and sequences have been added to the game and gameplay mechanics have been updated to reflect a more current flavor for this classic platformer.
The Ratchet & Clank video game will release a couple of weeks prior to the Ratchet & Clank animated movie which hits theaters April 29, 2016 and is based on the same origin story but the video game is from Ratchet’s point of view and the movie is told through Captain Qwark’s viewpoint.
We had a chance to play hands-on with the new version of Ratchet & Clank for the PlayStation 4 at a media event and the graphics looked extremely handsome and controls all very fluid. The updated Ratchet & Clank game should attract a whole new fanbase as well as bring back gamers who have fond memories of playing the original game so many years ago.
