Dragon Ball FighterZ will be released in Spring 2018 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC from developers Arc System Works and Bandai Namco. Dragon Ball FighterZ is a 3 versus 3 2D fighting game featuring characters from the Dragon Ball Z universe and will feature both Japanese and English voice acting. The Dragon Ball FighterZ developers say the game will run at 1080 HD and 60 FPS – time will tell on if that holds true for both online and local gameplay.
We had a chance to play Dragon Ball FighterZ hands-on during our E3 Expo 2017 preview. The mapping of the buttons is different than something like a Street Fighter game for the console controls. The new game feels much like Marvel Vs Capcom 3 where you can have player assists and even double assists. The action on screen is incredibly fast-paced like other fighting games and there was a crowd of gamers having their own mini tournament during our time at the Bandai Namco booth.
