The Battlefield 1 Beta is now open to the public – we had a chance to jump into the action a day early to get some hands-on time with the game. It was refreshing to be able to sit on the couch and play Battlefield 1 at our leisure as thus far we’ve only been able to experience a quick burst during E3 at the EA offsite location.
For the Battlefield 1 Beta gamers take on opponents in the new Sinai Desert map which is a very large map and offers weather conditions like windy sandstorms and includes an Armored Train Behemoth complete with heavy mounted weapons. For those not familiar with Battlefield 1 it is the latest in the franchise set in World War I coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC on October 18, 2016.
So far it’s clear that Battlefield 1 has spent an enormous attention to detail on the setting, weapons and sound design making for a fun yet difficult experience. The Battlefield 1 Beta offered multiplayer combat of up to 64 players in Conquest Mode and up to 24 players for Rush Mode. We hope to have more coverage of the game upon release!
