Indivisible is an upcoming action-RPG platformer video game from Lab Zero Games who were the developers behind the popular indie darling Skullgirls. Indivisible was made with help from fan funding from an Indiegogo campaign which raised over $2.2 Million.
Much like Skullgirls, Indivisible features a stylized color palette and 2D fighting in sort of an accelerated semi-turn-based combat – usually four against one. There are platforming elements to Indivisible as well – as you side-scroll your way through levels, jumping and sliding to avoid obstacles and dangers. Indivisible feels like a fresh new fantasy that will sweep you away as it introduces the lead character of Ajna and anime-inspired allies who all look like they’ve been plucked out of a perfectly designed cartoon.
We had a chance to sit down and play an early build of Indivisible at a private E3 Expo 2018 media event and found ourselves surprisingly addicted from the first few moments of the game. There seems to be a good balance of platforming and exploring mixed into the fighting to keep the game from getting stale. The jumping and sliding game mechanics were smooth and even when we didn’t really have a clue what we were doing in combat it was still rather enjoyable button-mashing our way to victory.
Indivisible is being developed for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and for PC/Mac/Linux. A demo of the game is available to backers from the Indiegogo campaign so find someone you know who contributed and have a go at the game if you can!
