We’re still scratching our heads as to why Peter Jackson stretched The Hobbit (one book) into three long (very long) movies but thankfully the fine folks at Warner Bros LEGO games division took the opposite approach and were able to cram two movies into one video game. LEGO The Hobbit will release sometime in 2014 – most likely just in time for the third film as anything earlier in the year would conflict with The LEGO Movie (due out in theaters Feb 2014).
LEGO The Hobbit will include characters and scenes from The Hobbit An Unexpected Journey and The Hobbit Deolation of Smaug and be available on multiple consoles including Xbox One, Xboc 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation Vita and PC. From the announcement trailer it appears as if the LEGO Hobbit game will feature plenty of voice acting from our favorite heroes Bilbo, Gandalf and the Dwarves of Erebor.
