Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures video game ties in directly with the cartoon show of the same name. The TV show has quickly become a cartoon sensation bringing Pac-Man and friends back into the hearts of a new generation of kids. There is a new toy line from Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures that strikes a cord with both collectors and kids alike.
We saw a preview of Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures years ago at E3 and wondered what ever became of everyone’s favorite dot-eating hero. The video game adaptation of the cartoon show is fun and enjoyable if not flawed and frustrating. Strangely enough – it’s the camera and falling off edges that will kill you more often then any ghosts in Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures. You kind of get the sense that this video game was created years ago and was ‘sitting on the shelf’ for a while just waiting for the TV show to premiere.
There is fun to be had while playing Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures as you can transform into a variety of different Pac-Man power-up forms that’ll allow you to shoot fire, ice, become magnetic and transform into a giant ball. The 3D environment of the game is fun to explore and if you can get past some of the technically hiccups you’ll find yourself interested enough in finishing the game — Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures is a cut-above most other cartoon/show adaptations out there.
