Ninja Gaiden has always been known for its visceral combat and crushing difficulty. Yaiba continues this blood-soaked tradition but in a much more tongue-in-cheek way. You play as a ninja cut down by Ryu Hayabusa, brought back to life with bionic augmentations for his eventual rematch against the titular character. Of course it wouldn’t be a very interesting game if you just fought Ryu, so this game chronicles the slain ninja’s journey as he fights zombies en masse.
Yaiba adds humor to the mix with its self referential humor and over the top violence. It reminds me of MadWorld, so if you played that game you know what to expect. I highly recommend you check out this game.
