WonderCon is an annual comic convention and is sort of like the step-brother to the larger and more famous Comic-Con International held in San Diego.  WonderCon used to be a Northern California event but a few years back moved to Anahiem California to make a new home yet this year filled up the Los Angeles Convention Center in Downtown Los Angeles.

It’s safe to say that crowds and merchants were in full force and special guests and panelist in abundance but is there anything different about WonderCon 2016 than some of its competitors like the recently formed Stan Lee’s Comikaze Expo or the mildly exciting Long Beach Comic Convention?  Not really… and having WonderCon 2016 take place at the LA Convention Center made it lose some of its luster becoming more of a generic convention.

There was plenty to do and see at WonderCon 2016 and fun to be had or purchases to be made but only a handful of standout things different from other events were available to take in like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles booth (promoting the upcoming film), the Disney Music Emporium booth and Capcom‘s booth showing off the recently released Street Fighter V and upcoming Resident Evil game Umbrella Corps.
