WonderCon 2014 has come and gone and the experience once again this year was fulfilling! WonderCon took place at the Anaheim Convention Center over the Easter weekend with over 50,000 attendees including cosplayers, fans and industry members. The Anaheim Convention Center has been given a ‘make-over’ in the past couple of years — the road outside has been replaced by a giant fountain and row of food trucks while inside the registration setup, lighting and landscape all seem improved.
WonderCon 2014 showcased comic talents Kelly Sue DeConnick (Avengers Assemble/Captain Marvel writer), Jim Lee (Justice League artist) and Mark Waid (Daredevil and Hulk writer) while also giving fanfare to the entertainment industry in Luc Besson who talked about his upcoming film Lucy in a panel, Wil Wheaton (Big Bang Theory), Felicia Day (The Guild), Matt Lanter (90210) and Shane West (Salem TV Show).
As in the past – the vibe at WonderCon is always upbeat — the timing is perfect because the hot summer weather has yet to set in and if you just received a tax return then this is the perfect place to blow some of that extra money on comic and nerd goodness.
