The Long Beach Comic-Con comes around twice a year and mostly features comics, toys and fan-art.  For the Spring show the LBCC was located in a small room upstairs — our first time experiencing this jammed in expo show floor.  Most of the excitement was out in the lobby or just outside where cosplayers of all ages were hanging around taking pictures with con-goers.

This time around we were treated to a slew of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle cosplayers including all four of the Turtles as well as villains Shredder, Bepop and Rocksteady.  It’ll be interesting to see how the TMNT hype changes, increases or decreases once the ‘Michael Bay‘ versions of these beloved characters are seen this summer in movie theaters.  Outside the convention expo was the usual feast of movie and TV show cars including KITT from Knight Rider and the modern Batmobile.  The Long Beach Comic-Con is a treat for locals or people driving in from the Los Angeles or San Diego area.
