‘The Killer Meteors‘ from 1976 directed by Lo Wei stars Jackie Chan and Jimmy Wang Yu. ‘The Killer Meteors’ was recently released on Blu-ray by Shout Factory as part of The Jackie Chan Collection Volume 1 and features bonus materials.
”The Killer Meteors’ tells the story of a martial arts expert, played by Jimmy Wang Yu, who keeps his secret weapon hidden until the final fight. Jackie Chan plays a man who hires him to investigate his wife, who might be trying to poison him. The plot is confusing, with things happening randomly like they were made up along the way.
The fight scenes are okay but not very exciting, and it feels like the actors weren’t trying their hardest. The best parts are the casting of the female characters and seeing Wang Yu’s weapon at the end, which is cool but only shows up for a short time.
