‘The Flag of Iron‘ is a martial arts movie from 1980 directed by Chang Cheh starring a handful of the ‘Venom Mob’ members including Philip Kwok, Chiang Sheng and Feng Lu. The movie also stars Lung Tien Hsiang in a mysterious part that flips back and forth between villain and hero. ‘The Flag of Iron’ was recently released on Blu-ray from 88 Films.
The story is about a group of Spearmen who are in a tough fight against a rival gang. There was a mysterious man dressed in white who played both sides of the conflict, keeping everyone guessing. But in the end, he decided to help the heroes.
Philip Kwok (also known as Lizard) really stood out in this movie. He showed amazing martial arts skills, especially when he had to defend himself from 10 assassins while he was in exile.
Overall, it was a great movie full of thrilling fights and cool martial arts moves!
