Long rumored and speculated on – the Spyro HD Remastered trilogy was confirmed by Activision today and is now called the Spyro Reignited Trilogy coming to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 21, 2018. This collection will feature an overhaul in graphics and gameplay for the original three Spyro games: Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2 Ripto’s Rage and Spyro Year of the Dragon.
Tom Kenny will reprise his role as the voice of Spyro in the new versions of the games which will arrive in time to help celebrate Spyro’s 20th Anniversary. Gamers will be able to enjoy over 100 levels of Spyro action between the three games combined and the price point is suggested to be $39.99. No word on a Nintendo Switch or PC version of the remastered Spyro games so we’ll have to wait and see on that but so far what we are seeing is looking like a fine collection from Toys For Bob the team behind the Skylanders franchise.
