Shaolin Intruders‘ is a martial arts kung fu flick from Shaw Brothers from 1983 directed by Tang Chia. ‘Shaolin Intruders’ stars Derek Yee, Jason Pai Piao, Lau Yuk-Pok, Phillip Ko and Ku Feng in a small role. ‘Shaolin Intruders’ was recently released on Blu-ray by Shout Factory as part of their Shaw Brothers Classics Collection Volume 4.

“Shaolin Intruders” is an action infused martial arts movie packed with awesome fight scenes, but the story isn’t super deep. It’s all about some renegade Shaolin monks who are attacking other kung fu clans and stealing their stuff. The two main guys in the movie get mixed up in this mess by accident, mostly because one of them likes a girl who’s involved.

These heroes have to figure out what’s going on and stop the bad guys, even though it isn’t really their fight to begin with. The movie is full of amazing action, with some really great fights inside the Shaolin temple. The main characters have to pass some tough tests and defeat a group of monks, which is pretty exciting to watch.

The fighting in the movie looks really real, without too many wire stunts or special effects. It shows how good the Shaw Brothers studio is at making kung fu films, even towards the end of their big martial arts movie-making days.

While the action is top-notch, the story isn’t that gripping. It’s hard to really care about what happens to the characters. Also, one of the main actors, Derek Yee, is good as a sidekick but isn’t as impressive as the lead as some other big stars might be.

Overall, “Shaolin Intruders” is a fun watch, especially if you’re into martial arts movies. It could be even better with a few changes, but it’s still worth checking out if you like action-packed kung fu films!
