Electronic Arts confirmed during its quarterly earnings call that Harmonix’s Rock Band is coming to the Wii.
EA CEO John Riccitiello said, “What are probably the most interesting pieces [of the Rock Band business] right now is the coming launch on the Wii, the continued sales of the core platforms in North America and then [Rock Band’s] fiscal ’09 launch across Europe against all the SKUs.
“Frankly, for the balance of our Q4, and the first half of fiscal ’09, Rock Band’s a key focus.”
The firm gave no further details on the Wii version of the rhythm game.
Since its late 2007 North American launch on Xbox 360, PlayStation 2 and PS3, Rock Band has sold 1.5 million units, according to EA
