Sony rang in the New Year by releasing a new trailer/montage featuring a wide variety of their PlayStation 4 video game exclusives 2017 list including Horizon Zero Dawn, Uncharted The Lost Legacy, Nier Automata, MLB The Show 17, Knack 2 and Persona 5.
Both Sony and Microsoft will have to bring their big guns in 2017 as Nintendo‘s new console the Switch will enter the arena in March 2017 and expects to take away some of the market share. There are a handful of video games from this video montage that we haven’t heard or seen much of like Matterfall, Farpoint or Hellblade which appear to line up with the Sony PlayStation 4 indie games strategy.
Starblood Arena is the only video game featured in this PlayStation 4 video game exclusive 2017 list that is Virtual Reality so that is telling as to how little Sony aims to push on the VR front. Come Christmas 2017 we’ll probably have a better grasp on if Virtual Reality is here to stay or if a new gimmick takes over this year.
