When Arc System Works and Atlus teamed up last year for Persona 4 Arena, people were stunned. An RPG series turned into hardcore fighter, it seems like lightning strikes twice with this newest installment. New characters have been added and all the old characters have gotten new moves.
That’s all well and good, but the strangest addition is the Shadow versions of the roster. In the main series shadows are a reflection of the inner self, so this game’s shadow must be an all or nothing touch of death extravaganza. Shadows lose just about all defensive options besides blocking but gain an all or nothing awakened state that allows you to chain super moves. Besides the characters P4AU also adds some extra story. It’ll be interesting to see when it comes out this Fall.
