Jackie Chan’s Operation Condor (1991) aka Amour of God II was recently released in a brand new remastered Blu-ray edition from 88 Films. Operation Condor was one of Jackie Chan’s early big-budget movies and mixes in plenty of his trademark humor and action.
Operation Condor features Jackie Chan once again as the ‘Asian Hawk’ who explores dangerous areas looking for lost artifacts in the same vein as Indian Jones. The movie takes place in many locations and has a strong female cast that tags along with Jackie during his epic quest.
88 Films have done an excellent job with this release – using an original 33mm negative to make a 2K remastered version of Operation Condor. The version I purchased came with a fancy slipcase cover and a full-color booklet inside. Two versions of the film are included and the running commentary is both funny and informative.
