Microprose and Kung Fu Factory are collaborating to create a fighting game to be released some time this spring on Xbox LIVE Arcade and the PlayStation Network called Girl Fight.  According to the press release; these two companies  plan to bring “hair flying, long legs kicking and the ear-piercing shrill of deadly vixens” to your console.  I honestly could not believe my eyes when I saw this press release.

Being published by Majesco, Girl Fight looks to have an extremely flimsy story about a clandestine organization that abducts women to plug them into a super computer in order to manifest their psionic abilities.  Yes, I said psionic abilities.  Between the picture heading up their Facebook page and their claims the “game brings together a slew of sexy women duking it out…”, this game is simply appealing to the lowest common denominator.

While it is entirely possible this game may end up having a deep fighting system, Girl Fight has definitely started off on the wrong foot by focusing on the characters’ “assets” and their sex appeal.  How is any of this supposed to entice me to purchase this product?
