We had a chance to check out a Dragon Quest XI Echoes of an Elusive Age preview for E3 Expo 2018 during a private media presentation. Dragon Quest XI looks to be a polished fantasy RPG game coming September 4, 2018, for the PlayStation 4 and PC from Square Enix.
From the gameplay we witnesses characters riding on horseback and some sword fighting from the presentation. Dragon Quest XI is a new stand-alone story with new characters and a brand new story making it easy for someone to jump into the game without having to know years of backstory. Dragon Quest XI is the first single-player mainline console release since Dragon Quest VIII which appeared on the PlayStation 2. The Dragon Quest series has seen its fair share of portable games but it is a welcome sign being able to play on the PS4 and/or PC.
Something else to point out about Dragon Age XI Echoes of an Elusive Age is that the development team has no plans for DLC or expansions – meaning that everything for the game will be included on the disc. Another stand-out announcement was that there would be full English voice-over for cut-scenes and the developers have given gamers the opportunity to jump into a first-person camera view to look around the scenery and take screenshots without the hud getting in the way.
