We finally got the chance to check out the new and improved Barcade in Los Angeles this week! For those unfamiliar with Barcade – it used to be a ‘speak-easy’ type of bar/arcade in Korea Town open once a week and in a hush-hush location. Barcade shut down for months and now is opened again to the public in an official location with a comfortable atmosphere for new visitors. Barcade offers a good handful of classic arcade stand-ups including some of my favorites like Ms. Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Punch-Out, Gauntlet, Joust, Centipede and more! The back room has two pinballs – Playboy and Twilight Zone. Drinks are reasonably priced and there is a DJ playing different types of music each night. Worth spending your quarters!
