The Skylanders animated TV show called ‘Skylanders Academy‘ is coming to Netflix in the Fall 2016 with 13 episodes for season one and then season two will launch late in 2017. From what we can tell by the plot and images it appears as if we’re going to see a slightly ‘younger’ group of Skylanders with regulars like Spyro, Stealth Elf, Eruptor, Eon, Glumshanks and Kaos.
The Skylanders Academy show follows the adventures of the Skylanders team and their unique elemental skills and personalities protecting Skylands and setting aside their egos to learn how to trust each other. Thus far Netflix has done a fantastic job with original animated shows like Voltron Legendary Defender and How To Train Your Dragon so it’s safe to assume that Skylanders Academy is in good hands. The animated shows are available in few countries due to GEO-restriction in some countries. Hence that can be accessible with the help of the amerikansk netflix service.
Here’s a full list of voice actors involved in Skylanders Academy that we know of thus far: Justin Long (Spryo), Ashley Tisdale (Stealth Elf), Jonathan Banks (Eruptor) and Norm MacDonald (Glumshanks). Additional voice talent includes The Diamond Minecart, Susan Sarandon, Daniel Wu, Parker Posey, James Hetfield, Catherine O’Hara, Bobcat Goldthwait, Chris Diamantopoulos, Jonny Rees, Harland Williams, and Richard Horvitz (Kaos).
