Like a hero soldier throwing himself on a live grenade to save his comrades, developer Yuke‘s has signed a deal with the Lingerie Football League to keep it out of the hands of others who might seek to actually make a video game out of it. At least that’s what I hope is happening here. The deal does specify a line of games to be released. But that’s just a cover right? Yuke’s will surely come up with new excuses year after year as to why no games are being released thus keeping the license in their possession and the travesty that would be an LFL game off the selves… right?

There are two things in this world that I love. Not my wife. Nor my children. No, I’m talking about video games and the Seattle Seahawks. The idea of an LFL game is offensive to me both as a gamer and a football fan. It’s hard to imagine who this shameful endeavor would be for. Making a product specifically for all eight hardcore Lingerie Football League fans isn’t after all a very good business decision. I suppose it is possible that the official LFL game could be a stat. driven sim meant to directly compete with the likes of Madden. Possible that is in an alternate universe where breasts aren’t marketing tools. We can all see what this thing really would be can’t we? So let’s call a spade a garden tool. The LFL game would be nothing more than a mechanism built around, and to service, slow motion instant replay lady on lady tackles employing the very latest in jiggle physics.

Yuke’s has a history of solid titles to their credit. Most notably a wildly popular WWE line and series of UFC games that dominate their competition and push the boundaries of the fighting game genre. Yuke’s purchase of this LFL license is just stupid. Or perhaps very heroic.
