We had a chance to check out Titanfall 2 briefly during E3 Expo 2016 at the EA off-site location but this month Respawn Entertainment has opened their online doors to the public with their ‘Open Multiplayer Tech Test’ which is basically an online beta.
Titanfall 2 will be out October 28, 2016 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. The game looks and runs incredible and getting in and out of giant robots to fight never gets old. There’s been a bit of a backlash on shooters using too much technology in their gameplay mechanics but Titanfall 2 feels like all the pieces fit the puzzle.
For two weekends back to back gamers on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One can play MP maps called Boomtown, Homestead and Forward Base Kodai with three modes unlocked Bounty Hunt, Pilot vs Pilot and Amped Hardpoint. The Titanfall 2 Tech Test allows players to experience new abilities like Holo Point, Pulse Blade and the insanely popular Grapple which basically feels like you’ve stepped inside of Spider-Man‘s suit. The Grapple can be used to reach high areas, speed past enemies, help mount a Titan and used for melee combat.
We hope to have more gameplay and impressions of Titanfall 2 once the game releases in October 2016!
