The Streamy Awards 2010 show capitalized on a week of events and parties meant to celebrate web content providers, sponsors and affiliates on Sunday April 11th, 2010.  This was the second year for The Streamy Awards and they faced a giant ‘sophomore slump’ in the award show presentation itself.  Host Paul Scheer kicked off the ceremony and things seemed to be going well but the second half of the show was plagued by technical issues and questionable decisions in ‘comedy bits’ and presentation.

COIN-OP TV LIVE was nominated in the category of ‘Best Live Production in a Web Series’ but lost to The Kevin Pollak Show (which was also nominated for Best Hosted Show and Best Host).  Kevin Pollak also was a presenter at Sunday’s ceremony and gave life to the show with some very funny comments on stage.  Former guests and friends of COIN-OP TV received nominations for the live streaming services and awards from shows like The Guild, Legend of Neil, The Bannen Way and Compulsions.

Robert Welkner and Hailey Bright (Hosts/Producers of COIN-OP TV) started the day walking the red carpet and promoting COIN-OP TV, video games, live broadcasting and the future of web shows in general.  ‘Net Neutrality’ was somewhat of a ‘hot bed’ topic during the week but only came up from time to time during the ceremony.  While the award show ceremony itself faced hiccups along the way – we look forward to a return to glory in 2011!
