The Jackbox Party Pack 3 bundles five entertaining games to create hours of fun among friends and family.

Whereas some games intended for large groups requires multiple controllers or peripherals, you can use your own phone, tablet, or laptop to play The Jackbox Party Pack 3. This is a huge coup for crowds, as everyone nowadays essentially has a compatible controller in their pocket. Additionally, these games allow for audiences to participate when watching via a live stream, making them engaging content for online gamers that vie for subscriptions.

Quiplash 2 plays much like the popular tabletop party game Cards Against Humanity, in which players complete statements and others vote on the best answer. The “best” answers are completely subjective, though, as players can create answers that are as silly or NSFW as they’d like.

In Fakin’ It, all but one of the players are given questions to answer. That singled out player is deemed the faker, and has to fit in as best as they can while answering questions similar to those the others receive. If the faker can go with the flow and answer questions without being found out, they score massive points.

Trivia Murder Party, despite its gruesome name, was actually quite whimsical. Answering trivia questions correctly keeps your avatar alive, while wrong answers send them to the afterlife after a challenging mini-game. All hope is not lost once all but one player dies, as ghosts can chase down the remaining player at the end of the game and swap places for a thrilling come-from-behind win. Among my friends, Trivia Murder Party was our favorite of the five games in The Jackbox Party Pack 3 to play. We actually played it twice during our little get-together with the game bundle.

Tee-shirt K.O. was the most creative and involved game in The Jackbox Party Pack 3. In it, you use your electronic device to doodle tee-shirt designs and come up with possible slogans. As with Quiplash 2, this can (and did) get quite wild in a matter of seconds. Once everyone has drawn a few designs and entered slogans, the words and pictures are paired together by players, creating hilarious tee-shirt designs. Everyone gets to vote on their favorite combinations in what is essentially a single-elimination tournament, though you may find it difficult to vote when crying from all the laughter.

The least engaging game in The Jackbox Party Pack 3, in my opinion, was Guesspionage. Players earn points by guessing numerical answers to questions, while the rest of the group chimes in whether answers are higher or lower than determined. Its mechanics are quite similar to that of Family Feud.

The Jackbox Party Pack 3 is an incredible value for the entertainment it offers. While you may second-guess purchasing any of these digital party games individually at $5 or so a pop, it’s hard to pass up on all the fun you’ll have for less than the price of a movie night out with your crew. If you think The Jackbox Party Pack 3 isn’t worth playing, then you don’t know jack.

The Jackbox Party Pack 3 is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam.
