Microsoft presenters used buzzwords like ‘intelligent tv’ when talking about the new interface – trying to convince the audience of how great watching TV will be on the new Xbox One. Eventually Andrew Wilson from EA came out to announce that four of their games like FIFA, Madden, NBA LIVE and UFC would be coming to the Xbox One using a new engine called ‘Ignite’. Wilson also used buzzwords like ‘human intelligence’ and ‘true player motion’ during his presentation and showed what looked like in-game animated sequences.

Gamers United Holiday Charity Party 2008

Hailey Bright and Robert Welkner of COIN-OP TV had the pleasure of stopping by the Gamers United Party this week.  The event was thrown not only to celebrate the holiday season but as a toy-drive for the Toys For Tots charity.  All in attendance brought gifts to donate and also got a chance to mingle with friends and meet new people.  The weather in Los Angeles wasn’t so great and everyone remained bundled up as a result of it but overall the party was fun and relaxed.  Thanks to Gamer Vixens, Gaming Angels, Pwned, Smart Monkey and all the other

Final Fantasy XI Fan Festival 2008 went down over the weekend at the Renaissance Hotel in Hollywood, California.  Rob Welkner (COIN-OP.TV) along with Jessica and Mandie from Girls Got Game checked out the show on Saturday.  This gathering of FF XI fans is not about showing off and large scale production but more about micro-managing your time in a step-by-step exploration of the Fan Festival.  When something big is going down like the Costume Contest then all the other rooms are closed off – shoving all the traffic into the main room to witness the activities.
