If so then you’ve surely heard us talk about the SC3 arcade/retro party put on by Steve Hertz (who was a guest on COIN-OP TV LIVE ep 303) and his friends who call themselves SC3. This April 2010 we were treated to the biggest variety of games including a return of ‘The Act’ as well as other classics like Tron, Q*Bert, Donkey Kong, Pole Position and more. Los Angeles did NOT have the privilege of a Wizard World in 2009 due to economy set-backs – so we were eager to see what the Anaheim show in 2010 would bring to the table. The three day event advertised famous celebs in attendance like Stan Lee, William Shatner, Brent Spiner, Levar Burton and more however none of them were present on Sunday when we attended the convention. The Streamy Awards 2010 show capitalized on a week of events and parties meant to celebrate web content providers, sponsors and affiliates on Sunday April 11th, 2010. This was the second year for The Streamy Awards and they faced a giant ‘sophomore slump’ in the award show presentation itself. ‘A Stellar Night 2010‘ Annual Gala benefiting the Starlight Foundation took place last week in Los Angeles. Both Robert Welkner and Hailey Bright from COIN-OP TV helped volunteer in the kid’s lounge by setting up Nintendo gaming stations and participating with children and celebrities as they got their hands on New Super Mario Bros Wii and Lego Rock Band. Starlight presented awards to Noel R. Wallace, Larry Flax and Rick Rosenfeld and also featured a performance by Dionne Warwick.
