The last Wolfenstein game was a solid but forgotten effort by Raven Software (now working on Call of Duty) in 2009. Bethesda Softworks decided to reinvigorate the classic series and has announced its return under the name “Wolfenstein: The New Order“. The game is being developed by ex-Starbreeze Studios members at MachineGames and is set to release this fall on Xbox 360, PS3, PC, and next-gen consoles. The story will feature series protagonist B.J. Blazkowicz in his never-ending war with the Nazi as they have won World War 2 and created a new empire in this alternate-reality 1960′s-era romp. The
FUSE – Preview
For those of you who didn’t know the demo for Insomniac Games’ FUSE came out this week on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Insomniac is best known for their Ratchet & Clank series along-side the newer Resistance series. FUSE leans more towards the Resistance side, but oddly started out looking more like Ratchet & Clank in art style. The game was initially debuted as “Overstrike” at E3 2011 and featured a more cartoon-like aesthetic. In 2012 the game was shown again with a new name, FUSE, and a new more realistic art style. The change did not go over too

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen is an expansion of Capcom’s 2012 critical hit Dragon’s Dogma. Purchasing Dark Arisen gives you the entire game, the expansive Bitterblack Isle expansion and a few improvements in game play. Biiterblack Isle is a character of Dragon’s Dogma in and of itself. The island’s key locations are beautiful and unique: from the epitaph in the opening gate to lush greenery and wildlife outside of
Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon – Review
Lately the trend in the DLC arena seems to be something along the lines of “crazier is better.” We’ve seen a handful of games now try DLC’s that pose an alternate reality or a complete change in style from what the original game showcased. Most recently Assassin’s Creed 3 did this with their series of DLC releases centered around George Washington as king. In a generation where DLC was beginning to stale it’s great to see this change happening, and Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon (while stand-alone and not DLC) continues the awesome trend. Blood Dragon centers around protagonist and
The Sims 4 Officially Announced
Very little information about the new game has been released yet but one of the EA PR reps Charlie Sinhaseni (who also worked on the SimCity release) tweeted that The Sims 4 will be offline. Some popular YouTubers who cover The Sims franchise had a chance to get the head’s up early on the game via a private conference call – you can see/hear their reactions here (The Quxxn) and here (iPodZeke1).
Star Trek Video Game – Review
J.J. Abrams reinvigorated the Star Trek movie franchise in 2009 with his updated take on the classic sci-fi saga, and with a sequel coming in a few weeks the question then became if the same could be done for the video game version. The answer is an astounding…”meh.” The Star Trek game features decent acting, acceptable combat, and enough Star Trek nostalgia to make it passable. The issue becomes the game’s inability to stray from the generic third person standards it apes, and the lack of vision to try anything new to…ahem….”boldly go” where no third person shooter has gone
