After seeing both popular and critical success recently on the major home consoles, Mortal Kombat is punching its way on to the PlayStation Vita.  Set to be released on February 28th, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios are bringing the MK franchise to Sony’s newest portable handheld.  As you can see in the trailer below, Mortal Kombat is delivering the console experience on the go, along with 150 brand-new missions, touchscreen fatalities, X-rays and more.

What excites me about this trailer is how fluid the game looks as well as imagining how these characters are going to look on that OLED screen.  I will readily admit that I worry the new missions will translate to annoying mini-games using the front and back touch, but I’m optimistic NetherRealm did not allow themselves to fall into that trap.
