E3 2010 highlights from the press conferences — Microsoft announced the new Xbox 360 slim (in black) and gave them out to press/media people in attendance.  No mention on if the new Xbox 360 slim is ‘red ring of death’ proof but it looks nice in design and comes Kinect friendly.

From the EA press conference we were impressed by Dead Space 2, Medal of Honor and intrigued by the new Madden game.  The Ubisoft press conference was hosted by Joel McHale (whom we interviewed at the Splinter Cell red carpet) who introduced the latest Assassin’s Creed, hammed his way through an awkward lazer tag game and wooed the crowd with the Michale Jackson dance game.

Much like last year – Activision‘s concert at the Staples Center was the ‘big ticket’ in town – featuring DJ’s Z-Trip and Deadmau5 followed by performances from Usher, Eminem, Rhianna, Janes Addiction and more!  During the Activision event we were treated to sneaks of games True Crime, DJ Hero 2 and Call of Duty: Black Ops.  It was a great way to kick off the long E3 weekend from Activision and the press conferences!
