Disney Infinity 3.0 Marvel Battlegrounds released for gaming consoles this week (U.S.) which is a new play set for the popular ‘toys to life’ franchise expanding the game’s shelf life.  The Disney Infinity 3.0 Marvel Battlegrounds play set comes packaged with a new Captain America figure with a new unmasked pose and abilities.  Unlike previous Disney Infinity play sets the Marvel Battlegrounds is a 4v4 brawler much like Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros Brawl.

Additional figures released to coincide with Disney Infinity 3.0 Marvel Battlegrounds are Baloo from The Jungle Book, Boba Fett as an individually packaged figure (he was previously bundled with Sony PS4/PS3), a black suit Spider-Man individually packaged figure (he was previously bundled with the PS Vita), The Vision, Ant-Man and Black Panther.

It is worth noting that as of March 15, 2016 with the launch of all the new figures Disney Infinity 3.0 owners will be able to unlock Sora’s Keyblade from the Kingdom Hearts franchise.
