At the E3 2015 Sony Press Conference it was revealed that Boba Fett (from Star Wars) would be joining Disney Infinity 3.0 as a playable character and toy/figure. It was previously announced that Boba Fett’s ship ‘Slave 1’ would be released as a vehicle disc so it only made sense to also include a toy to go along with the ship.
As part of an agreement with Sony and Disney the Boba Fett figure will be packaged exclusively to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 versions of the game – however since the toys/figures are agnostic you can use them on any system once purchased.
At the E3 2015 Disney Infinity 3.0 booth fans in attendance were given away pre-released figures of their favorite Star Wars, Inside Out and/or other Disney toys/figures as part of a promotion. The booth also featured prototypes and early concept art for the upcoming Disney Infinity 3.0 toys/figures. Thus far Disney Infinity has been the only ‘toys to life’ video game to make an appearance during one of the E3 press conferences two years in a row.
