Moving Hazard PAX South Preview

Moving Hazard doesn’t seem all that different from any other military shooter on the market, but once you begin playing, the nuances of the game become evident.

Marble Mountain PAX South Preview

The controls wear fairly spot-on in the levels I was playing. The marble felt as if it had weight and physics to it as the marbles in Marble Madness did back in 1984. I almost wrote that the controls felt a little more forgiving than Marble Madness, but in truth, it may be a little closer to reality.

Livelock PAX South Preview

Livelock appears to be coming along nicely. I will definitely be keeping my ear to the ground on this one as I am looking forward to finding out more about these characters. The game will release in 2016 on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Okhlos PAX South Preview

Okhlos is shaping up nicely. I look forward to seeing where these 2 guys take the final product. The weird, built-in sense of nostalgia and real time strategy game play elements kept me on my toes.

Street Fighter V PAX South Preview

Where I think Street Fighter V shines the most is in Capcom’s desire to make SFV a platform rather than a series of independent games. It was made clear to me that creating a multitude of versions of Street Fighter IV in the past winnowed the community into small groups, segregating each of them from the larger community.

Dead Star PAX South Preview

On paper, Dead Star by Armature Studios is not the kind of game that would normally appeal to me. Seemingly fast-paced multiplayer with MOBA hooks is not usually my cup of tea. All that melted away as I went hands on with Dead Star at PAX South 2016.
