TURBO is a new feature length film by Dreamworks Animation. We had a chance to check out an early preview of the movie with a general audience in attendance. Turbo is about a garden snail who is teased by his community, loves racing and is accidentally given a speed boost when he intakes a bunch of NOS from a car. The movie stars Ryan Reynolds (as Turbo) who downplays the voice acting this time around and is mostly upstaged by Samuel L. Jackson who plays Whiplash one of the other racing snails.
What do you do when you are asked to be one of the premier launch titles for new Xbox One? If you’re Turn 10 Studios, you blow the doors off every car you put in the game. In Forza Motorsport 5, Turn 10 looks to do more than just race to the finish line, on the way they want to build a relationship between the cars and the individuals who drive them. The first way Turn 10 builds these relationships is through ForzaVista. ForzaVista gives you the opportunity to explore and learn about the cars in the game, of which
A few years back Codemasters’ GRID was a new racing IP in the long line of racing games the studio has put out over the last decade. The Codemasters name has been synonymous with racing for years now (with the occasional foray into other genres with games like Operation Flashpoint), so when the studio announces a new racing title people generally listen. The Microsoft Press Conference started off with a bang in Konami‘s new trailer and gameplay for Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain. It was the first time we got to see the open world gameplay in a desert setting with many characters filling in the ranks — also Snake rides a horse! Unfortunately we didn’t get to hear much of Kiefer Sutherland‘s voice as Snake during this gameplay demo. Microsoft announce d that World of Tanks the popular free to play tank MMO would be coming to the Xbox 360 and the devs took the stage to claim that
Overall the game is not for everyone. If you enjoy games like Mario Kart, car combat like Vigilante 8, and don’t mind a fixed camera and top-down view this game should be enjoyable as long as you don’t put too much stock in the story itself or over-anime’d characters. At its core Fuel Overdose is a competent battle-racer but comes up a bit short on overall fun value and the ability to retain your attention longer than a few races at a time; feel free to check out the videos of the game on COIN-OP.TV and make your own call!
Sony’s recent unveiling of the PlayStation 4 at the PS4 Press Conference in NYC caused the Internet to explode with glee, grief, anger, confusion and shock. It also left me with sore legs due to its length (It finished in just over 2 hours). Now, you can watch the press conference on your own or catch play-by-plays somewhere else. I’m more interested in breaking it down and analyzing what we saw and what was said – along with everything not shown or unsaid. First is the PS4 itself. The X86 CPU, 8GB of RAM and 8 cores leaves a fantastic
