COIN-OP TV: Video Game Industry, People and Events!

COIN-OP TV LIVE is a weekly talk show about the video game industry, people and events with hosts, Robert Welkner and Hailey Bright. The show utilizes new media and technology to update the talk show formula by incorporating a live chat room audience, live video interviews across the world via Skype and trivia with viewers using Twitter.

Host, Robert Welkner, an authority on video games, brings his considerable wealth of knowledge to the show. He reports on the gaming industry and puts his own spin on gaming news during the first half of the show, then is joined by an in-studio guest for the second half.

Co-host, Hailey Bright, balances out the show with her charm and energy. She monitors the live chat rooms and relays their questions on the air. Hailey is also the location host for events and segments.

Both hosts have become Internet celebrities with articles, photographs and interviews about them all over the web. Robert is a regular contributor to GameRoom Magazine and an award-winning filmmaker. He produced COIN-OP TV DVD Volume 1 (rated 4 stars on FilmThreat.com) and Volume 2, which are both currently selling on Amazon.com. Hailey had a breakout year in 2009; she was featured as IGN.com’s ‘Babe of the Day’ in January, interviewed for Spike TV and named one of the ‘Hottest Women of the Web’ by G4tv.

COIN-OP TV LIVE airs every Thursday at
8PM PST / 11PM EST on www.TheStream.TV!

    Hello-

I am the deputy managing editor for Vending Times, a New York-based magazine that covers the coin-op industry. We work with and cover companies that currently produce arcade cames (and any other coin-op machines), as well as most trade associations ( such as the American Amusement Machine Association, the International Association for the Leisure and Entertainment Industries, the International Flipper Finball Assocation, etc.) involved with the industry.

The magazine is more than 45 years old, and we have a very solid knowledge base regarding the history of video games; many of my colleagues, who have been involved in the industry much longer than I, are invaluable resources if one wanted to know anything about games, developers and other notable figures, etc.

I am unsure if you are aware of the publication, but I suggest that you visit our website if you are intruiged. The pop-culture aspect of arcade games is of great interest to us (and me personally); feel free to email me if you have any questions, comments or random tidbits of information you wish to share. Outside of the magazine, I am on myspace – myspace.com/larisajayne – and can be easily contacted there as well.

    Best regards,
    Larisa Shewczyk
