How much is your time worth?  Anytime you shell out additional money for DLC content you may be asking that question.  Mass Effect 3 has given fans of the series free content thus far in the form of multiplayer maps, characters and weapons.  With the Mass Effect 3 Leviathan DLC you’ll be asked to cough up a mere $10 and you may wonder ‘is it worth it?’

Here’s the facts – Mass Effect 3 is a SOLID ‘Game of the Year‘ contender with on-disc content providing hours of gameplay and free DLC already handed to you over the last few months.  Leviathan is the second campaign DLC and features a new storyline and characters but mostly allows you to dust off Commander Shepard (or FemShep) for an elaborate side mission (taking place before the conclusion of the story).

The Mass Effect 3 Leviathan campaign will only take about 3-4 hours to complete – there’s not much in the way of new enemies and mostly revolves around boring humans – except for Leviathan itself.  I was able to pick up some more renegade points, experience and say rude things to James Vega (always a plus) in the DLC.  Playing this DLC felt like revisiting an ‘old friend’ that I hadn’t seen in months.  Mostly everything about what BioWare is doing with Mass Effect 3 is solid including their Leviathan DLC which was WORTH my time (even if I was yearning for more).

Mass Effect 3 Leviathan DLC is available now for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC
