Street Fighter art show opening at Gallery Nucleus
COIN-OP TV helped co-sponsor JAB / STRONG / FIERCE (an art show tribute to Street Fighter) which ran from April 25th to May 11th at Gallery Nucleus in Alhambra, California. Over 40 artists showcased their talent with amazing works of art revolving around the Street Fighter franchise. The show was a huge success with a capacity crowd in attendance for opening night.
The gallery was filled with cosplayers dressed as their favorite characters from the game. There was a Street Fighter IV tournament and plenty of artists on hand to chat with. Ben Zhu, Gallery Nucleus curator, put the show together as a ‘love-fest’ for all things Street Fighter. Several videos from the event and plenty of photos have appeared all over the Internet and the gallery sold over 50% of the artwork on display.

I kind of feel bad that I missed going to this showcase as it sounds like it was alot of fun. I went to the actual launch party and found that that was pretty insane in it’s own.
