Harmonix Rocks on iPod

Posted on November 18th, 2007 in News & Events by cotv

It seems natural that Hamonix is bringing the game Phase to the iPod.

As a studio that considers itself a music company before a game maker, the house that created Guitar Hero and Rock Band should be quite at home with a game on Apple’s popular music player.

Phase lead producer Kasson Crooker said that Phase is targeted at the casual audience using “fundamentally accessible” gameplay.

Phase was the next logical title for a franchise that includes Frequency and Amplitude for PS2. The latest game again utilizes “rhythm action” gameplay, but uses the iPod’s click wheel to have users keep rhythm with songs from their own music library.

The game is compatible with the iPod nano with video, iPod classic and the fifth generation iPod and costs $4.99.
