Podcasting & New Media Expo

Posted on September 27th, 2007 in News & Events by admin

Third year for the Podcasting & New Media Expo at the Ontario Convention center and we’ve attended year show since the beginning. This year we had the pleasure of meeting Zadi (Jet Set Show), Alex (Diggnation), Edger and Steve (Nerdblurb) and Brad from uStream.tv. The show was about the same in size as previous years. Last year most of the booths were companies selling products like microphones and podcasting recording materials. This year there seemed to be more emphasis on spreading the word and marketing individual shows. Rumor has it that this expo will move to Las Vegas next year – if so that will be bad news for us Californias! Here’s some photos from the event!

September SC3 Arcade Party

Posted on September 16th, 2007 in News & Events by admin

Steve and his friends in the SC3 group tossed another arcade/retro night party this week and it was a blast! There were about 30 arcade games setup on freeplay the entire night, a section covering various console gaming through the years, Nintendo’s Wii, the Room of Doom for Guitar Hero, a mini-swap meet, pizza and more!

I spent a good majority of the evening talking and meeting new friends and faces. The guys from End Game Radio came out and did some interviews at the party. I also had a mini-challenge going on with arcade gamer champ Paul Dean on which we picked 5 games to challenge each other at for bragging rights! As always Steve and his SC3 posse were there in full force wearing their spiffy tshirts and hosting a fun event overall that is growing from meeting to meeting!
